Nitish’s account of BJP seats!

The leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party are preparing for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections with a target of winning 400 seats. All the leaders of the party are in the belief that in the same way as in 2019, more seats than 2014 were won, in the same way, in 2024, more seats will be available than in 2019. But BJP’s old ally Nitish Kumar has said that if the opposition unites, the BJP will not get 50 seats. He predicted that the BJP would get 50 seats from opposition unity and also said that he would try to bring the opposition together. For this he is also coming to Delhi on Monday.

But the question is, what is the basis of this assessment of Nitish Kumar? He gave a figure after calculating the seats or in his displeasure with the BJP simply said that BJP will get 50 seats? The BJP has crossed the 50-seat mark in 1989 and has never got less than a hundred seats since then. Secondly, in such states of the Hindi belt, where the BJP has an old base, there is no such resentment against the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi that the power has to be overthrown. Third, in the states where the BJP is in direct competition with the Congress party, there is no third party, so what is the point of unity there?

There is a direct contest between BJP and Congress in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh etc. Aam Aadmi Party is definitely scrambling in these states but it has no ground base. In these six states, BJP has 97 seats. Is Nitish Kumar feeling that in some way he will strengthen the Congress so much that it will stop the BJP? Nitish Kumar is about to meet Haryana’s leader Om Prakash Chautala, but can he make the Congress and the Indian National Lok Dal a coalition in Haryana? Similarly, will Nitish be able to create a synergy between Congress and Kejriwal in Delhi? The BJP has won all the seats in Haryana and Delhi.

Except in the states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh etc, where the BJP is getting two torn seats in two elections. So, it seems that Nitish Kumar has said such a thing in displeasure, which has no basis. He is angry that the BJP broke his party in Manipur and merged five of the six MLAs into the party. This has given a setback to JDU’s hopes of becoming a national party. Earlier also he had alleged that BJP was trying to destroy his party. Then he said that BJP will not get 50 seats. A serious and thoughtful leader like him should not talk like this.
