Team India: In the ICC T20 World Cup (ICC T20 WC) on Sunday, New Zealand (NZ) defeated Afghanistan (AFG) by eight wickets to make it to the semi-finals. New Zealand’s victory has dealt a big blow to the Indian team and Team India is out of the World Cup. The Indian team had lost two opening matches of the World Cup, due to which the team was out of the race for the tournament. This is not the first time that New Zealand has not allowed the Indian team to reach the title in an ICC tournament. For the last several years, Team India has not been able to break New Zealand’s ‘Chakravyuh’, due to which its dream of winning the ICC title for the third time has been shattered.

In the ODI World Cup 2019, the Indian team reached the semi-finals, performing brilliantly, where it faced New Zealand. Batting first, New Zealand had scored 238 runs in the stipulated 50 overs, in response to which the Indian team was all out for 221 runs in 49.3 overs and were out of the World Cup. The dream of winning the ODI World Cup for the Indian team was shattered.
