Moeen Ali Reaches New Milestone During 4th Ashes Test

STAR England all-rounder Moeen Ali reached a massive milestone on Day 2 of the fourth Test match between Ben Stokes and company and Pat Cummins’ Australia at the Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester, on Thursday.

Moeen Ali became the 16th player in the history to score 3000 runs and take 200 Test wickets. He is also the fourth English cricketer after Ian Botham, Andrew Flintoff, and Stuart Broad to join this elite list of players.

Shane Warne, Stuart Broad, Ravichandran Ashwin, Kapil Dev, Richard Hadlee, Shaun Pollock, Ian Botham, Imran Khan, Daniel Vettori, Chaminda Vaas, Jacques Kallis, Garry Sobers, Shakib Al Hasan, Andre Flintoff, and Chris Cairns are the other 15 players in the list apart from Moeen Ali.

ENG Start Good Despite Taking Early Blow

James Anderson and Chris Woakes helped England get the remaining wickets on Day 2 quickly. Woakes grabbed his first-ever Ashes fifer and helped restrict the Aussies to 317 runs.

However, England didn’t get the start they were looking for as they lost Ben Duckett early in the third over itself. Starc sent him back on just 1 run. However, Moeen Ali and Zak Crawley joined a great partnership and helped the hosts cross the 100-run mark by the 23rd over itself.

Both of them are still on the pitch and are progressing the scoreboard for England at a good pace. England will be looking forward to putting the Aussies under the lead before the stumps on day 2.
