Modi cabinet’s big decision, revision done in One Rank One Pension scheme, now 25 lakh people will be benefited
new Delhi. The Modi cabinet took a major decision on Friday. Where the Union Cabinet has approved the increase in the pension received by the soldiers and officers of the Armed Forces under One Rank One Pension.
Giving detailed information, Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur said that One Rank One Pension has been revised and earlier 20.60 lakh pensioners used to get benefit in this scheme, but now after revision 25 lakh people will be benefited. The Union Minister told that the burden of 8500 crores will fall on the government.
The Union Minister said that along with the family pensioners, the widows of the soldiers killed in the war and disabled pensioners will also get the benefit of OROP. He informed that due to this, the government exchequer will be burdened by Rs 8450 crore every year.
