Bhim Sainiks protest against BJP leader and Minister of State in Aurangabad

Aurangabad. In Maharashtra’s Aurangabad, Bhim soldiers protested against Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and Minister of State Chandrakant Patil on Sunday. Patil had said that great men have started educational institutions by begging. Bhimsena workers are angry about this. Bhim Sainiks demonstrated here at Kranti Chowk, Bhadkal Gate and burnt the effigy of Patil. Simultaneously, the protesters showed black flags to Patil.

Activists of Swabhimani Marathwada Foundation at Bhadkal Gate, under the leadership of Gautam Amrao, burnt the effigy of Patil near the statue of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. On the other hand, Bharatiya Dalit Panther activists led by Sanjay Jagtap and former corporator Gautam Kharat submitted a memorandum to City Chowk police inspector Ashok Giri, demanding Patil’s removal from the ministerial post and registration of a case against him. On the other hand, the workers of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi burnt the effigy of Patil in Usmanpura and raised slogans against him.

The movement was led by District President Yogesh Ban, Sarvashri Prabhakar Bakle, Suresh Magre and Manoj Wahul. During this the police detained 13 protesters and later released them. Patil had come to perform aarti at the Sansthan Ganapati temple located in Rajabazar. When he came out after the aarti, Samta Parishad workers showed him black flags. The police used force to disperse the workers and caught some workers and took them to the City Chowk police station. Those detained were released after two hours.

On the other hand, the office bearers of Bhimshakti met the police commissioner and demanded registration of a case against Patil. Patil was opposed by showing black flags at Trimurti Chowk as well. On the other hand, the women of Boudhanagar, Uttamnagar, Bhanudasnagar raised slogans against Patil. Regarding Patil’s statement, Mupta Shikshak Sangh staged a sit-in at Kranti Chowk. During this, Prof. Sunil Magre led the movement. Many people including Dr. Sambhaji Waghmare, Dr. Bhaskar Tekle, Sarvashree Hemant Gaikwad, Prakash Waghmare and Amol Magare participated in the dharna.
