Jind. Police in Haryana’s Jind have arrested the father of a 17-year-old girl on charges of sexual assault. The victim had told the police two days back in her complaint that her mother had died about 10 years ago. The family consists of his younger brother, elderly grandparents and father.
Her father Dharambir raped her for the first time in the year 2020 and threatened her of dire consequences if she told anyone about the incident. Since then her father has been continuously sexually abusing her. According to the victim, on the night of December 23, her father again raped her and threatened to kill her and her brother when she protested.
After which he told his aunt about the incident and a complaint was lodged with the police. On the complaint of the victim, the Mahila Thana police had registered a case against her father under various sections including the Indian Penal Code and six Pasco Acts for sexually abusing and threatening her. Taking action, the police arrested the accused and his interrogation is on.
