Misbah Ul Haq on PCB: Former Pakistan cricket team captain and coach Misbah-ul-Haq said that there will be no improvement in Pakistan cricket until it changes the system and does not stop the habit of finding scapegoats. This is the first time Misbah has reacted to it since his abrupt resignation last month.

In a conversation with a sports channel, Misbah said, “Nothing is going to change in Pakistan cricket, because the problems have gone deep inside the system. The problem is that our cricket only sees results and needs to plan ahead and improve the system.” We don’t have the time or patience for that.”

Misbah added, “We don’t care that we have to develop our players at the domestic level and then work on their skill development in the national team. We want results and if we don’t get the results we want, then We start looking for someone to be the scapegoat.”

Bowling coach Waqar Younis, along with Misbah, had suddenly announced their resignation after returning from the West Indies last month. He said, “Unfortunately, finding scapegoats has become common in Pakistan cricket. After losing a match or series, we start looking for scapegoats to save ourselves. If we continue with the same cosmetic surgery, nothing will change.” You can change the coach and the players, but the problems inside will remain the same.”

Misbah also criticized the working of the national selection committee and the way the T20 World Cup team made changes. He said, “What is happening? First you add some players to the World Cup squad and then after 10 days you bring back the players who have been dropped by taking a U-turn.” Let us inform that after announcing the initial 15-man squad and three reserve players, chief selector Muhammad Wasim later made three changes.
