India set a target of 278 runs to Australia thanks to the captaincy innings of Mithali Raj

New Delhi | Women’s World Cup 2022: In the league match of Women’s Cricket World Cup 2022, today there is a fierce competition between the teams of Indian and Australia. Indian women’s team captain Mithali Raj’s bat rained heavily in this match being played at Auckland’s Eden Park. Due to which India scored 277 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 50 overs and set Australia a target of 278 runs. However, the Australian team, chasing the target, also started with a bang and they have scored 111 runs in 17 overs without losing any wicket.

Australia won the toss, gave batting to India
Earlier, Australian team captain Meg Lanning won the toss and gave India a chance to bat first. Which the Indian team took good advantage of and scored a respectable score of 277 runs. However, India did not have a good start and their two wickets fell for just 28 runs, but captain Mithali Raj and Yastika Bhatia took charge of the team.

Both Mithali Raj and Yastika batted well to take the team to 158 runs but in the 32nd over, Yastika Bhatia was dismissed for 59 runs. After this, Mithali Raj was also dismissed after scoring 68 runs in the 38th over. Mithali hit 4 fours and 1 six in her innings of 96 balls. But Harmanpreet Kaur also played a fine innings for the team and scored a half-century.
