Jauhar University: Supreme Court to hear Azam’s petition

New Delhi. The Supreme Court will hear on Thursday the plea of ​​Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan against the state government’s action for allegedly taking over the control of Mohammad Ali Jauhar University in Rampur, Uttar Pradesh. .

Chief Justice Uday Umesh Lalit, Justice S. Ravindra Bhatt (Justice S. Ravindra Bhatt) and Justice J. B. A bench of Pardiwala (Justice JB Pardiwala) on Wednesday took note of the submission of senior advocate Kapil Sibal, appearing for Azam Khan, that the state government is taking various actions against the private university.

The CJI said that the matter is listed before an appropriate bench tomorrow (Thursday) to consider all the arguments. Sibal said that several criminal and other cases have been registered against the leader by the state government and other authorities and now the control of the university has also been taken. He said that a wall of the university has also been demolished.

Mohammad Ali Jauhar University was established in 2006 by a trust and Khan is the chancellor of this private university. (Language)
