Jaish terrorists killed in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar. A member of the banned terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) has been killed during an encounter with security forces in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir. The police gave this information on Tuesday. “Security forces received information about the presence of terrorists in Kulgam’s Ahwatu area, following which a cordon and search operation was launched there,” a police official said. He said that during the search operation, the terrorists opened fire on the security forces, after which the encounter started in retaliation.

Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that two Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists are present in the cordoned off area. Kumar said in a tweet, ‘Two local terrorists of banned terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed are trapped in the middle of the encounter. Both the terrorists were involved in various terrorist activities. A police spokesman said that one of the two terrorists was killed in the encounter while the encounter is still going on.
