Making a big announcement on Himachal Divas, the Chief Minister of the state Jai Ram Thakur has announced to charge only half the fare in government buses from all the women of the state. Himachal Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur announced relief in the fare of government buses to women at a state level program organized in Chamba today on the occasion of Himachal Day. While praising the women of the state, Thakur said that women have also contributed a lot in the progress of the state. In such a situation, now women will have to pay only half of the fixed fare in government buses.
First free travel for women on these two festivals

The Rajasthan government has also been providing free travel facility to women in buses on the occasion of Rakshabandhan festival.
