‘If you survive in Bakrid, you will dance in Muharram!’; Kharge’s remarks for the post of Congress President
Congress Presidential candidate Mallikarjun Kharge during Bhopal on Wednesday. During this he addressed a press conference. When he was asked about the prime ministerial face of the Congress, in response he referred to the proverb ‘Bakrid mein bachenge to muharram me nachenge’.

Politics has started on Kharge’s remark. The Bharatiya Janata Party has called it an insult to Muslims. BJP National Spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla tweeted that when asked who will be the Congress PM candidate in 2024, the first proxy candidate preferred by the Congress family, he said that if we survive in Bakrid, we will dance in Muharram. is an insult.
