Shoaib Malik on win over India: Senior Pakistan batsman Shoaib Malik on Monday said that his team’s momentum in the T20 World Cup with a thumping win over India in the first match has given their team a good run. Pakistan defeated New Zealand and Afghanistan after a ten-wicket win over India. Now after defeating Namibia on Tuesday, the team will reach the semi-finals. Malik said in the pre-match press conference that to be honest, when the tournament starts against the big team and you win that match, then everything goes well in the dressing room.

He said that we also got the rhythm. In the first match, every team comes with the intention of getting the rhythm by performing the best. Malik, who has played 119 T20Is for Pakistan in the last 15 years, said the way the players have handled the pressure is commendable. It is the biggest thing for me to see Pakistan team performing well like this. Everyone is helping each other. This is a team sport and help is needed.
