Hamirpur: Another major change has taken place in health services even before the new year. Till now, the RTPCR sample of Corona was tested in the lab of Kanpur Medical College. It used to take two to three days, but now the facility of RTPCR test has been made in the district hospital itself. Along with this, machines have also been installed to test the severity of the corona infected patient. The inquiry report will be available in few hours. CMO Dr. AK Rawat inaugurated this lab. On the very first day, 50 samples were tested, whose report came negative.

Corona RT PCR samples of potential patients were still being sent to Kanpur Medical College for examination. From there the report was received after three days. In such a situation, even if someone was infected, he would come in contact with other people for two-three days. In such a situation, the challenge of tracing the people who came in contact with the patient also came before the Health Department. In view of all these problems, all kinds of equipment and machines have been made available by establishing BSL-2 RTPCR lab in the district hospital itself. Due to this, the daily running of Kanpur Medical College to test the samples has come to a complete stop.

50 samples were tested in the lab: Dr. Rawat

Chief Medical Officer Dr. AK Rawat told that the lab has started functioning. Yesterday 50 samples were tested, in which no corona has been confirmed. Dr. Rawat (CMO Dr. AK Rawat) said that two non-medical scientists, four LTs and one computer operator have been deployed for the operation of the lab. With the establishment of the lab, now Kovid-19 can be tracked in time and it can be prevented effectively.

All arrangements made to deal with the third wave

Chief Medical Superintendent of District Hospital Dr. Vinay Prakash (CMS Dr. Vinay Prakash) said that adequate staff has been deployed in the lab. Along with the RTPCR test, a de-diamer machine has also been installed to check the severity of the corona infected patient. However, due to non-receipt of any case for two months, the machine has not been used yet. Apart from this, there is a system of testing corona with TrueNat and Antigen in the district hospital. All arrangements have been made to deal with a possible third wave. Oxygen plants have also been started. Forty beds will have direct supply of oxygen.
