Gujarat Election: PM Modi’s 50KM long roadshow in Ahmedabad, people welcomed by showering flowers

Ahmedabad. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s over 50-km ‘roadshow’ in Ahmedabad city began on Thursday evening from Naroda village. A large number of people welcomed Prime Minister Modi by showering flowers on both sides of the road during the ‘road show’ which started at around 5.20 pm.

Standing on a specially designed vehicle, the Prime Minister waved to the crowd and greeted them. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) said in a release that the ‘roadshow’ would pass through the eastern part of Ahmedabad and end at IOC Circle in Chandkheda area in the western part of the city.

According to the release, the ‘roadshow’ will pass through various parts of the city including Hirawadi, Hatkeshwar, Maninagar, Danilimda, Jivraj Park, Ghatlodiya, Naranpura and Sabarmati. Accordingly, it will cover Ahmedabad city as well as 13 assembly seats of Gandhinagar-South. In the first phase of the Gujarat assembly elections, voting was held for 89 seats on Thursday and in the second phase, voting will be held for the remaining 93 seats.
