Ranchi. Father-son died due to a short circuit in the house in Ilami village under Mufassil police station area of Pakur district of Jharkhand.
According to reports, the incident took place at 3 am on Saturday. When a part of the house suddenly started bursting into flames due to a short circuit in the house, 65-year-old Farza Haque Sheikh and his son Sharif Sheikh, 25, rushed to douse the fire, but were scorched by the current flowing through the tin roof. He died there. The rest of the people sleeping in the house somehow managed to get out.
Later the electrician of the village cut the electric wire. Most of the household items have been gutted. One cattle also died. On receiving information about the incident, Mufassil police station in-charge Mintu Bharti reached the spot. Police have sent the bodies of both of them to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. (IANS)
