Elderly woman crushed to death by elephants

Pathalgaon, In the Jashpur forest division of Chhattisgarh, there is no stop in the cases of loss of life due to the ruckus of elephants. Today, an elderly woman was crushed to death by a group of elephants in Farsa village of Duldula police station area.

Jashpur Forest Divisional Officer Jitendra Upadhyay said today that the family members of the deceased Dulari Bai have been given financial assistance of twenty five thousand rupees. He said that three different teams have been deployed to alert the villagers by monitoring the movements of the elephants. All necessary measures are being taken to prevent incidents of vandalism and loss of lives by these elephants.

Here, in the village of Farsa of Duldula police station area, there is a continuous ruckus of elephants for two days. Due to the lack of fodder water in the surrounding forests, the elephants roaming here are reaching the residential areas again and again. These days, there is an atmosphere of panic due to the frequent arrival of elephants in a dozen villages of Tapkara, Duldula and Kunkuri areas.
