Abhishek Banerjee’s wife will also be questioned
ED Summons to Abhishek Banerjee: According to the information received, the ED has summoned both Trinamool Congress (TMC) national general secretary Abhishek Banerjee and his wife Rujira Banerjee in the coal scam case. For this, the ED has called both of them for questioning on different days.

After Holi, both will be questioned separately
According to the information, the ED has asked Mamata didi’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee and his wife to appear before the investigating officer next week after Holi. The ED will first interrogate Abhishek Banerjee on March 21 and then his wife Rujira Banerjee separately on March 22.

ED Summons to Abhishek Banerjee: Significantly, earlier the ED had issued summons to the couple on September 10 last year, after which the court was requested by Abhishek Banerjee to direct the ED to produce them in Delhi. Summons should not be issued for being, as they are residents of West Bengal. In this case, the Delhi High Court had on March 11 dismissed the petition challenging the summons issued to him to appear before the directorate.
