Dhami: Revenue Police to be linked ‘Step by Step’ with Regular Police

Dehradun. Under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, an important meeting of the Dhami cabinet was held at Dehradun Secretariat. The meeting was held at the Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali Auditorium located in the Vishwakarma Building of the Secretariat. Many important decisions were taken by the cabinet in this meeting.

The Uttarakhand Judicial Service Amendment Manual has been approved in the cabinet. At the same time, there has been a change in the name of judicial posts. Along with this, the questions raised on the existence of revenue police after the Ankita Bhandari murder case were also discussed in the cabinet. After which it has been decided that revenue police will be merged with regular police in a step by step manner. Also, there is good news for Nainital that a tourist destination will be made in Nainital.

Along with this, the state will give 50 percent and 25 percent in the anti-hailnet scheme in the Horticulture Mission. Approval has been given to give the amount in Atal Awas Yojana at par with the PM scheme. The income limit has now been increased from 38 thousand to 42 thousand.

Cabinet meeting decisions:

  • Uttarakhand Judicial Service Amendment Rules approved in the cabinet, change in the name of judicial posts.
  • In the Horticulture Mission, the state will give 50 percent and 25 percent in the anti-hailnet scheme.
  • Tourist destination will be made in Nainital.
  • Approval to give the amount in Atal Awas Yojana at par with the PM scheme. Income limit increased from 38 thousand to 42 thousand.
  • With the recommendation of the Child Protection Commission, it will now contact the families of the children who are absent for 30 days.
  • Uttarakhand Logistics Policy 2022 got approval in the cabinet.
  • Insurance of GST registered traders increased from 5 lakhs to 10 lakhs.
  • A new private university (Roorkee College of Engineering) was named Haridwar University in Uttarakhand.
  • The Chief Minister has been authorized regarding Diwali DA and Bonus.
  • There was an in-principle agreement on how the personnel should be taken out of the service plan from outsourcing.
  • The report of the Human Rights Commission was brought to the cabinet.
  • The punishment for throwing garbage and spitting was abolished.
  • For the reconstruction of Kedarnath, the rules for the demolition and reconstruction of 53 buildings of the priests and local people are ready.
  • Revenue Police will be merged with Regular Police in a phased manner. For this, 6 police stations and 20 outposts will be made new.
  • Cabinet approval for 1750 promotion posts of police constables.
  • Ordinance will be brought regarding women’s reservation, Cabinet has authorized the Chief Minister. (IANS)
