Dussehra is celebrated across the country. This day is considered to symbolize the victory of good over evil. On the day of Vijayadashami, people burn Ravana by making an effigy of Ravana at many places across the country. This demo picture is of Red Fort in Delhi.
There is a belief in the scriptures that on this day in Tretayuga, Dashanan in the form of evil was put to an end by Lord Shri Ram in the form of good, hence this day is celebrated as Dussehra or Vijayadashami. Ravana is burnt on this day. This picture is from Hyderabad.
