IPL Retention 2022: Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Chennai Super Kings surprised everyone by retaining star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja for Rs 16 crore. The franchise has retained Jadeja for a higher price than the team’s captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. CSK placed Jadeja at number one in the list of retained players. At the same time, Dhoni has been retained for Rs 12 crore.

Apart from Jadeja and Dhoni, the franchise has also retained star opener Rituraj Gaikwad and England all-rounder Moeen Ali. Gaikwad has been retained for Rs 6 crore and Moeen Ali for Rs 8 crore. Sunrisers Hyderabad retained these players

At the same time, Sunrisers Hyderabad has retained three players. These players are captain Kane Williamson, fast bowler Umran Malik and Abdul Samad. Williamson has been retained for Rs 14 crore, Malik and Samad for Rs 4 crore each. Sunrisers, who were in the news for the wrong reasons due to differences with former captain David Warner last season, were set to retain Kane Williamson. But the shocking decision is that the franchise did not retain Rashid Khan. The team has reposed faith in young players like Malik and Samad. KKR retain Venkatesh Iyer

Talking about Kolkata Knight Riders, it has retained Venkatesh Iyer, Sunil Narine, Andre Russell and Varun Chakraborty. Russell has been retained for Rs 12 crore, Varun Chakraborty for Rs 8 crore, Iyer for Rs 8 crore and Sunil Narine for Rs 6 crore.
