Coronavirus Omicron Variant: The corona virus epidemic has once again raised concerns. There has been a stir around the world due to the discovery of a new variant of Coronavirus. So far this variant has spread to Botswana, South Africa and Hongkong. The World Health Organization (WHO) has placed this variant (B.1.1529) in the ‘Variant of Concern’ and named it ‘Omicron’.

This new variant of Coronavirus was first found in South Africa on 24 November. Since then there has been a huge increase in corona cases here. This variant of Kovid-19 (Covid-19 New Variant) is considered to be very dangerous, because it has many mutations and it is being said that the vaccine is ineffective on it. This variant has spread to three countries so far, but till now this variant has not been entered in India.

Scientists warn about the new form

Meanwhile, Indian scientists have expressed concern about the new variant of Corona. Scientists say that this new form should not enter India. Insacog, which monitors the genome sequencing, says that if this new variant mixes with the delta, then serious crisis situations can arise. However, till now no evidence of mixing of this B.1.1. Let us tell you that there is already a presence of serious variants in India. Of these, the most dangerous variant is the Delta itself. In such a situation, if these two variants get mixed then the situation can be horrifying.

Scientists say that for the first time 32 mutations have been seen in Coronavirus. Most of the changes have taken place in the spike structure of the virus, and for this reason, cases of break through infection are recorded after taking the vaccine or getting infected again. Doctors have warned that now is not the time to wait but the time to act. We need to be careful.
