On Sunday, under the banner of All India Employees Welfare Association (Aweta), the employees and teachers of Uttar Pradesh held a Shankhnaad rally in Eco Garden for the restoration of the old pension scheme. There is a demand of the employees that the way the agricultural laws have been returned, in the same way the old pension scheme should be restored by returning the new pension scheme. Also privatization should be stopped. They say that privatization is spoiling the future of the youth.
State President of Aweta, Vijay Bandhu said during the Shankhnad rally that the future of the employees and teachers is being darkened by the new pension scheme. In the coming times, the new system is not right for the employees and teachers. Therefore it should be withdrawn and the old pension scheme should be implemented again. Bharat Singh of PWD Employees Union has also demanded withdrawal of the new pension scheme. Apart from this, Rajendra Singh alleged from the railways that the railway is being sold, which is not worth tolerating at all.
Employees and teachers were adamant to meet UP CM Yogi Adityanath during this period. His demand was that he would end the rally only after meeting the Chief Minister. For a long time, the employees calmed down on the persuasion of the officers. DCP Khyati Garg has assured the staff leaders of talks with the Chief Secretary and CM within two days.
