Raipur. Chhattisgarh is a prosperous region in terms of tourism, there are places full of natural beauty, as well as centers related to religious faith. Due to this, the state government is engaged in developing those areas as tourist centers from where Lord Ram once passed. It is the result of the ongoing efforts to promote tourism in the state that in the year 2021, one crore 15 lakh 32 thousand tourists, including Indian and foreign, visited Chhattisgarh.

Chhattisgarh is such a holy land, where during the exile, the feet of Lord Rama lay from Sitamarhi Harchouka in Korea district in the north to Konta in Sukma district in the south. Spread over a vast area of ​​seven hundred kilometers from north to south, encompasses a variety of natural beauty and cultural heritage. The land here is full of natural beauty like forests, wildlife, rivers, mountains and waterfalls. From the Pat region of the north to the hills of the south, many beautiful natural places and unique beauty carved by nature are a boon of nature to this state. The maternal grandmother of Lord Rama is believed to be of Chhattisgarh, the glory of the name of Ram is embedded in the culture here. The only temple of Lord Rama’s mother Kaushalya in the whole world is located here. This temple is situated at Chandkhuri Place near the capital Raipur.

During the exile, the places where the feet of Lord Rama lay, are being developed through the “Ram Vanagan Tourism Circuit Development Project”. 75 places of Ram Vanagaman tourism circuit have been identified by Chhattisgarh Tourism Board. In the first phase, nine sites Sitamarhi-Harchouka (Korea), Ramgarh (Sarguja), Shivrinarayan (Janjgir-Champa), Turturiya (Balodabazar), Chandkhuri (Raipur), Rajim (Gariaband), Sihawa-Saptrishi Ashram (Dhamtari), Jagdalpur (Bastar) ) and new facilities are being developed at Ramaram (Sukma) in the form of “Ram Vanagaman Tourism Circuit”. Beautification of the entire campus is also being done. Ram Van Gaman tourism circuit length is about 2260 km, whose construction, widening and repair work is being done. Work is being done by the Chhattisgarh Tourism Board for the arrangement of accommodation, food, water, parking etc. for the tourists here. High level tourism facilities are being developed in the state for the convenience of the tourists.

Facilities like ethnic resorts, cottages, water sports are being developed at places full of natural beauty of the state. Along with national parks and wildlife sanctuaries, there is also a unique example of glorious folk culture. Kutumsar Cave and Kanger Valley, National Park, Chitrakote Falls are important tourist places in Bastar region, which are winning the hearts of tourists due to their amazing beauty. In order to provide accessible information to the tourists about the tourist places of Chhattisgarh and to provide the facility of reservation under individual and tour packages for tourist places, Chhattisgarh Tourism Board has organized 11 places in the state in addition to New Delhi, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh.
