BSP spoiled SP’s maths in Azamgarh!

Lucknow. The campaigning for Uttar Pradesh’s Rampur and Azamgarh parliamentary seats will end on Tuesday evening. Both these seats in the state have been of the Samajwadi Party (SP). The reputation of Azam Khan in Rampur seat and Mulayam family in Azamgarh seat is at stake. The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has made the election interesting by fielding former MLA Shah Alam alias Guddu Jamali in Azamgarh seat. Guddu Jamali is harming the SP in Yadav-Muslim, Dalit-dominated Lok Sabha constituency. Allied party leaders are also campaigning here in favor of SP candidate Dharmendra Yadav, even after this, SP’s concern about Azamgarh is not ending.

The main reason for this is the political bets played by BSP chief Mayawati. In Azamgarh seat, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) played Yadav bet by fielding Bhojpuri film actor Dinesh Lal Yadav alias ‘Nirhua’ in the election field. So BSP chief Mayawati made the match triangular by playing the Muslim card in the form of Shah Alam aka Guddu Jamali. Now SP is concerned about handling its Yadav and Muslim core vote bank here. By joining the Yadav leaders of SP, BJP has created a tremendous maze here against Dharmendra Yadav, cousin of SP chief Akhilesh Yadav. In view of this, the entire Saifai family is gathered in Azamgarh.
Professor Ramgopal Yadav is frozen in the party office of Azamgarh here. While the cousin of SP candidate Dharmendra Yadav and former Firozabad MP Akshay Yadav is doing public relations. The same Dharmendra Yadav is meeting people showing faith from Mazar to Shiv Mandir and reaching small meetings, instead of speaking himself, he is raising the mike towards local leaders, caste satraps. Overall, SP leaders in Azamgarh are busy meeting everyone here to give the message that their relation with Azamgarh is as special as Saifai.

This message is also being given because BSP candidate Guddu Jamali has raised the slogan of ‘Apna Bhai Vs Bahri’ here. In the year 2014, when Guddu Jamali had landed against Mulayam Singh Yadav on a BSP ticket, he got 2.66 lakh votes. In the triangular contest, Mulayam Singh won by just 63 thousand votes. Jamali is advising Muslims to avoid their representation and use. So Mayawati has appealed to the people of Azamgarh to make Guddu Jamali win, saying that Guddu Jamali has been MLA many times and has helped people of all religions by rising above party politics. Such candidates are nowhere to be seen in other parties at this time. In order to prevent the atmosphere from being created in favor of Guddu Jameel among the Muslim community, Akhilesh Yadav organized election meetings of Azam Khan in Azamgarh, but he himself has not yet reached Azamgarh to hold elections. About which the SP leaders and officials engaged in the election campaign in Azamgarh are also surprised.

According to these leaders, in the 19 elections so far in Azamgarh, the candidate of Yadav fraternity has won 13 times. In the by-elections of 1978 and 2009, only Muslim face got representation from here. In such a situation, whether Azamgarh progresses in the third election also due to the thinking of ‘community’s leadership’, the axis of the election rests on this. Even after this, Akhilesh Yadav has not yet reached here to campaign, while the by-election is being held on this seat due to his resignation. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath had targeted Akhilesh Yadav while addressing an election meeting here on Sunday. After which the question arose about Akhilesh Yadav not coming here to campaign, the SP leaders said that Akhilesh Yadav is confident that he is winning both the seats of Azamgarh and Rampur. That is why Akhilesh Yadav has not come to Azamgarh and Rampur to campaign. Apart from this claim of the SP leaders, all the people of Saifai family are advising the people of Muslim community in entire Azamgarh not to fall under the illusion of BSP and Guddu Jamali. Because they know that the division of votes of Dalit and Muslim society will make the path of Dharmendra Yadav difficult. So now in the last days of elections, SP leaders are insisting on keeping their MY equation united. So that the electoral politics of BSP chief Mayawati cannot do much harm to the SP.
