BSP MP introduces non-governmental bill in Lok Sabha with provision of voting by ballot instead of EVM

New Delhi. Bahujan Samaj Party MP Danish Ali on Friday introduced a private member’s bill in the Lok Sabha with the provision of re-polling through ballot instead of Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) in the country.

He introduced the ‘Representation of the People (Amendment) Bill, 2022’. The BSP MP has proposed a provision in this private bill to replace the old system of voting through ballot papers in place of EVMs.

Congress’s Manish Tiwari introduced the ‘Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2022’ with a provision to amend Article 324 to change the process of appointment of the Chief Election Commissioner and Election Commissioners. ET Mohd Basheer of IUML introduced the anti-mob lynching non-governmental bill.
