BJP leader booked for insulting national flag

Dhamtari. A case of insult to the national flag has been registered at the local Kotwali police station on Thakur Shashi Pawar, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) district president of Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh.

According to police sources, during the tricolor yatra taken out by the BJP in the city on August 2, the tricolor flag was seen upside down in the hands of the district president. Regarding this, the Congressmen gheraoed the Kotwali police station on Thursday night and demanded strict action and arrest against the BJP district president. Regarding this, today the Congress staged a blockade for a while while demonstrating in the local Sihawa Chowk. Where Congressmen accused the BJP district president and BJP of insulting the national flag. An offense has been registered against Shashi Pawar in Kotwali police station under section 2 of the Prevention of Insults to National Pride Act, 1971.
