Supriya Sule in place of Pawar

Nanded, Congress ally NCP chief Sharad Pawar will not participate in the party’s Bharat Jodo Yatra. He was admitted to the hospital recently due to deteriorating health. Although earlier he had given his consent to attend the Congress’s visit. In his place, his daughter and Baramati MP Supriya Sule reached Nanded to attend the Congress’s yatra. She also attended the meeting of Rahul Gandhi. Aaditya Thackeray, leader of Congress’s second ally Shiv Sena and son of former Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, will join the yatra on Friday.

Congress general secretary and communication department head Jairam Ramesh told in the day on Thursday that Sharad Pawar had earlier agreed to join the walk. He said- he was admitted to the hospital recently and in view of the doctors’ advice to take rest, he will not join the yatra. He told in the day that Pawar’s daughter and NCP’s Lok Sabha member Supriya Sule, party’s state president Jayant Patil and NCP leader Jitendra Awhad, have reached here to join the walk.
