There should be RSS shakha in every village of the country: Mohan Bhagwat

Guwahati. Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Sunday said that every village in India should have an RSS shakha and each of its members should strive for the progress of the country. Addressing the concluding program of the workers’ camp of the Sangh’s Assam unit here, Bhagwat said the nation is the priority for all people, irrespective of differences.

According to an RSS statement, he (Bhagwat) said that there should be a shakha in every village of India, because the society as a whole has given him (the shakha) the opportunity to work for it. That’s why Swayamsevaks should go ahead and lead the society. Only RSS workers were allowed to attend the program (a three-day camp) where Bhagwat was speaking. He said, with full devotion to the pride and heritage of India, the volunteers should work for the progress of the country.

We have to be ready to do everything for the country, Bhagwat said. Dr. Keshav Baliram Hedgewar founded the RSS in 1925 with the aim of developing human resources. We may have difference of opinion, but there should be no difference of mind.” He said that a weak society cannot enjoy the fruits of “political freedom”.
