Lucknow News: A “PAHAL” program was organized under the Breast Cancer Awareness Month at Apollo Medixi Super Specialty Hospital located on Kanpur Road in the capital. In which more than 200 women from about 25 to 30 offices of Lucknow participated. In the program, women were given information about the symptoms of breast cancer and its investigation and treatment. Also, it was told how women can self-examine their breasts and detect changes in them and identify this disease in the early stems. Women were also given the benefit of free cancer screening and counseling.

Dr. Mayank Somani, CEO and MD, Apollomedics Super Specialty Hospital, said that “October is celebrated worldwide as ‘Breast Cancer Awareness Month’. Its aim is to encourage women All the misconceptions are told about breast cancer. If breast cancer is detected at an early stage, the chances of survival are increased by 90 percent. In the initiative, the Medical Oncologist of the hospital campus, Dr. Harshvardhan Atreya, told the women about the treatment of breast cancer. On the other hand, Gynecologist Dr. Ekta Sharma took self-examination training session. In which women were told about how to avoid deadly diseases like cancer through healthy diet.

The women participating in the initiative program were given training certificates. With which they can train not only themselves and other women by taking training in self-examination. Along with this, they were also given a coupon for one time free mammogram for breast cancer screening, one time free consultation with cancer screening papamyar, oncologist and gynecologist.
