Announcement of dry day in Delhi on Chhath Puja, will not get liquor

New Delhi | Dry Day on Chhath Puja 2022: The festival of Chhath Puja 2022 has started, due to which there is enthusiasm in the whole country. Meanwhile, Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena has made a big announcement in the capital Delhi for October 30, ie Chhath. Lt Governor Vinay Kumar has declared Chhath as ‘dry day’. In such a situation, now there will be a ban on liquor in Delhi on the day of Chhath.

Dry Day on Chhath Puja 2022: Along with this, the Lieutenant Governor has also removed the ban imposed on Chhath on Yamuna Ghats in Delhi last year. After which Chhath Puja can now be performed at the ghats on the banks of river Yamuna in Delhi. Along with the announcement of lifting the ban on Yamuna Ghats, the LG has also directed the Delhi government to make arrangements for cleanliness, lighting and water of the ghats for Chhath Puja. After this, preparations have been almost completed at Yamuna Ghat located at ITO. An artificial ghat has also been built here.

Meanwhile, the crowd in trains going from Delhi to East is increasing continuously. Where people going home on Chhath are not getting space in trains, in view of the huge demand, airline companies have also increased the prices of their tickets. For going to Patna, Darbhanga, Gaya or Banaras, now passengers have to pay up to three times more fare.

Special preparations for Chhath Puja in Delhi

Due to special preparations for Chhath Puja in Delhi, pits have been built in the big parks of DDA.
– 3500 Civil Defense volunteers will be deployed in Delhi.
Many important preparations are being made for water, light etc. in the parks for worship.
– Preparation for deployment of police personnel and civil defense team to maintain security and order.
