Hyderabad. Family members of two Indian students from Telangana who drowned in a lake in the US last week are now awaiting the arrival of their bodies. A relative of the deceased student Uthej Kunta said the bodies are expected to reach home on Friday.
Kunta’s (24) father lives near Warangal and is a government employee while his mother is a homemaker. The family told that both are deeply saddened by the untimely demise of the son. He told that Kunta, a dentist by profession, was doing MS in Health Informatics in America. He told that his course had started only a few months ago.
He said Kunta and his friend Shiva Kelligari, who drowned in the lake with him last week, were also close friends in Hyderabad. The process of bringing back the bodies has started and the bodies are expected to reach Hyderabad on Friday. He said the family had approached some politicians and others for help.
According to police, two Indian students from Telangana drowned in Ozark Lake in the US state of Missouri during the ‘Thanksgiving weekend’. The Missouri State Highway Patrol has identified the deceased students as Uthej Kunta, 24, and Shiva Kelligari, 25. The incident of drowning of students in the lake is of Saturday.
