‘AAP’ number one in corruption: Nadda

New Delhi. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Jagat Prakash Nadda on Sunday alleged that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi has become synonymous with scams and it has led to the corruption created by the Congress. All records have also been broken. He said that the BJP will “grievously defeat” AAP in the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections and subsequently in the Delhi Assembly elections.

“You have become a government of scams,” Nadda said at the ‘Panch Parameshwara Sammelan’ held at Ramlila Maidan here in view of the MCD elections. He has broken all the records of corruption set by Congress. He needs to be thrown out of power.

The MCD elections are likely to be held in December this year. The BJP chief said the Arvind Kejriwal-led party had promised a clean government in Delhi “but it did scams in the excise department, purchase of DTC buses, construction of toilets and Delhi Jal Board”. “Five of their MLAs are out on bail,” he said.

Nadda said that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal had said that if his party came to power in Delhi, he would implement liquor ban, but after the formation of the AAP government in Delhi, he opened liquor contracts in every locality. He told BJP workers, BJP will badly defeat AAP in the MCD elections and then in the assembly elections. Tell the people of Delhi about the corruption of AAP.

Nadda said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has fulfilled the goal of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’. “Other political parties are scared of holding rallies here because of the huge size of Ramlila Maidan. But the BJP’s mere workers’ convention is enough to fill the ground. BJP is the only party in the country which has a wide base. (Language)
