Himachal Pradesh: Vote percentage decreased in elections, only 74.05 percent voting

New Delhi. In Himachal Pradesh (Himachal Pradesh), more than 74 percent voting took place in the voting held on Saturday. This information was obtained from the latest figures.

As per the ‘Estimated Trends’ available on Sunday morning, 74.05 percent of the total voters of Himachal Pradesh cast their vote. The turnout in 2017 was recorded at 75.6 percent. There are more than 55 lakh voters in the state.

Voting began on a slow pace at 8 a.m. on Saturday, but picked up momentum as the day progressed and the harsh cold from the heat of the sun subsided. Around five percent polling was recorded in the first hour, while 17.98 percent polling was recorded till 11 am. It reached 37.19 percent till 1 pm and 55.65 percent till 3 pm. According to provisional data provided by state election officials, 66.58 percent polling was recorded till 5 pm. (Language)
