100 punjabi stranded in abu dhabi, appeals to foreign minister for help

Noormahal. 100 Punjabis who went to work for a private company in Abu Dhabi in connection with employment are stuck there because they have been fired but passports are not being given back. Social activist Dilbag Singh has written a letter to External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar requesting him to help the youths in this matter.

In a letter to Dr S Jaishankar, Foreign Minister of Shri Dilbagh, resident of Benapur village, it has been said that Square General Contracting Company Abu Dhabi has fired him but is not returning the passport, due to which the youth are not able to return. Huh. The External Affairs Minister has been requested to take up the matter with the Emirati authorities by instructing the Indian Embassy in Abu Dhabi.

Shri Singh said that most of the personnel have applied online to return to India but are unable to come due to passport. Their parents are ready to pay for the air ticket but the company is not returning the passport. Mr Singh has urged the Center to intervene in the matter and open a ‘help desk’ there. Mr. Singh has also appealed to Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for help in this matter by sending a copy of the letter to the Punjab Chief Minister’s Office. (talk)
