Relief in CNG-PNG prices after shock from gas cylinder prices

Mumbai | CNG PNG Price Updates: Amidst the ever-increasing inflation and rising prices of petrol-diesel-gas in the country, today on April 1, 2022, a little sprinkling of relief has also been given. Giving minor relief to CNG-PNG consumers today, the companies have cut the prices of CNG by Rs 6 and on PNG by Rs 3.50 per kg. Let us tell you that today the oil companies have not increased the prices of petrol and diesel.

Maharashtra government reduced VAT by 3 percent
CNG PNG Price Updates: The main reason for the reduction in the prices of CNG and PNG is that the Maharashtra government has reduced the VAT on them to 3 percent, due to which their prices have come down. The Maharashtra government has reduced VAT on natural gas from 13.5 per cent to 3 per cent with effect from April 1. The new prices have been implemented from today.

CNG PNG Price Updates: Mahanagar Gas Limited, a gas supply company in Mumbai, has cut the retail price of CNG by Rs 6 per liter. Now the retail price of CNG in Mumbai and its adjoining cities has gone up to Rs 60 per kg and that of domestic PNG to Rs 36 per cubic metre.

On the other hand, today by increasing the prices of gas cylinders, the general public has been given a shock of inflation. From April 1, the prices of LPG cylinders have been increased by Rs 250 simultaneously. Oil companies have made this increase in commercial gas cylinders. Its effect is also going to be visible on the rising inflation in the country.
