The wait for the central subsidy is over

Chandigarh. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal has said that in case of delay in the subsidy coming from the central government under the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana, the state government will provide that subsidy in advance. Manohar Lal said that for the fish farmers of Sirsa district, a testing lab related to fisheries would be set up in Sirsa itself. This will directly benefit the lobster farmers here. Earlier, the fish farmers here had to go to Rohtak to get the facility of lab testing.

In the workshop of shrimp farmers organized at Chormar Kheda village in Sirsa district, Khattar announced to set up a wholesale fish market in either Jhajjar or Gurugram for the purchase and sale of fish. He said that this would lead to economic progress of the farmers. Like the Kisan Credit Card, the government is providing the facility of credit card to the fish farmers. Similarly, the government is also in talks with banks and insurance companies to insure fisheries.
The Chief Minister said that electricity consumption is a big issue in fish farming. At present, the government is providing electricity to the farmers whose consumption is 20 kW, at the rate of 4.75 per unit. Fish farmers can also install solar plants on their plots. For this, they are being given a subsidy of 20 thousand rupees per horse power, which can be up to a maximum of two lakh rupees.

The Chief Minister said that an aquapark would be built at Garwa village in Bhiwani district at a cost of Rs 30 crore. This aquapark will be in 25 acres. In this, new research related to fish farming, new varieties of fish farming, research on seeds will be done. This will directly benefit the fish farmers. The benefits from the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana will be available for the next three years.

Sirsa MP Sunita Duggal said that the farmers of the district are going to get the benefit of shrimp production. It is a better option for the farmers to take profits by doing fish farming in this way on the land of beans. Along with the central government, the Haryana government is also cooperating. Smt. Duggal called upon the farmers to move forward, the government is with them. The land of beans will now grow gold from shrimp production.

Agriculture and Fisheries Minister Jaiprakash Dalal said that the farmers of Sirsa district deserve congratulations, who have brought a new revolution in the country by producing shrimp in salt water. He said that there is no such business in which profit can be made in six months by investing capital, but shrimp production is such a business in which capital and cost is completed in six months and one can take profit in the next six months.
