PSLV-C54/EOS-06 Mission: Launch of PSLV-C54 with EOS-06 and 8 Nano satellites
Sriharikota (Andhra Pradesh). India’s mighty launch vehicle PSLV-C54 lifted off from the SHAR range at 11:56 am on Saturday carrying the 1,117 kg Earth Observation Satellite (EOS-06) and eight nanosatellites. ISRO Chairman S Somnath said that PSLV-C54 successfully placed the earth observation satellite in its target orbit.

This XL version of PSLV is 44 meters tall and after a smooth 24-hour countdown, it spectacularly lifted off from the first launch pad in its 56th flight, filling the sky with orange smoke and a roar that shook the earth.
