Indian Team For South Africa Tour: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will announce Team India for the tour of South Africa today. However, for now only the team will be selected for the Test series. The team for the ODI series will be announced later. The Indian team has to play a three-match Test and three-match ODI series on the South Africa tour.

India’s tour of South Africa will begin with the Boxing Day Test on 26 December. The match will be played at Centurion’s SuperSport Park. After this, the second Test will be played from 3 to 7 January 2022 in Johannesburg and the third and final Test will be played at Newlands in Cape Town from 1 to 5 January 2022.

Ajinkya Rahane can take away the captaincy

Considering the poor form of Ajinkya Rahane, it is believed that the vice-captaincy of the Test team may be snatched from him during the South Africa tour. At the same time, this responsibility can be handed over to Rohit Sharma in his place. Shreyas Iyer, who performed brilliantly in the home Test series against New Zealand, is sure to be selected. At the same time, Hanuma Vihari, who performed brilliantly for India-A in South Africa, can also get a place in the team.

Ishant may take leave from the team

Apart from this, Ishant Sharma, who has played more than 100 Tests, may be discharged from the team. Young bowlers like the famous Krishna and Avesh Khan can be given a chance in their place. On the other hand, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami will return to the team.

India’s 17-member team can be like this

Team India – Mayank Agarwal, Shubman Gill, Rohit Sharma, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli (captain), Wriddhiman Saha (wk), Rishabh Pant (wk), Ajinkya Rahane, Shreyas Iyer, Ravindra Jadeja, R Ashwin, Axar Patel, Mohammed Shami , Jasprit Bumrah, Umesh Yadav, Famous Krishna and Avesh Khan.
