RJD, JDU have different opinion on CBI case

Patna, There is no consensus between the two major ruling parties of Bihar in the matter of withdrawing the general consent given to the Central Investigation Agency (CBI). There is a tussle between the two parties on this issue. Recently, the RJD had said that the general consent given to the CBI should be withdrawn. It is worth noting that many states have done this and the CBI cannot investigate without permission in them.

On this issue, RJD leader Shivanand Tiwari asked that the CBI investigation should be stopped without permission in the state. Quoting some news, he said that a meeting of the Grand Alliance government under the leadership of CM Nitish Kumar has also been held regarding this. However, JDU rejected Shivanand Tiwari’s statement. JDU leader Upendra Kushwaha said that no meeting was held in this regard.

Earlier, RJD leader Shivanand Tiwari said that in view of the way the Central Government is using the CBI against the opponents, the Grand Alliance government should withdraw the approval of the probe to the agency. Apart from this, the Nitish government should also approach the court, he said. He said that under the NDA government, central agencies like CBI, ED have lost their credibility.

After this, JDU Parliamentary Board President Upendra Kushwaha said on Monday that Shivanand Tiwari has wrong information. There has been no meeting of the Grand Alliance government in this regard. He said that there was no discussion on staying the CBI probe without permission. Kushwaha also said that such a decision should not be taken in any state. There is no fault of institutions like CBI in this. The BJP government is misusing the agencies with the wrong intention. Significantly, as soon as the new government was formed in the state, the CBI raided the places of many RJD leaders.
