Jio 5G service till Diwali

Mumbai, The country’s largest mobile company Jio’s 5G service will be launched by Diwali this year. First it will be started in metros. On Monday, the announcement of the launch of 5G service was made at the 45th Annual General Meeting, AGM of Reliance Industries Limited. In the meeting, the company’s chairman Mukesh Ambani told that 5G will start from metros till Diwali. He told that by 2023, 5G service will be available all over India.

Mukesh Ambani also told that who among his three children will be responsible for which business. He said that Akash Ambani will handle the responsibility of Jio, Isha Ambani Retail and Anant Ambani New Energy business. Giving information about Reliance’s retail business, Isha Ambani said that Jio Mart has reached 260 cities of the country. Reliance will also launch FMCG business.

Describing the 5G service, Mukesh Ambani said – Jio 5G will be the world’s largest and most advanced 5G network. Jio will implement a modern version of 5G, called Standalone 5G. It has zero dependency on 4G network. With standalone 5G, Jio will introduce new and powerful services like low latency connectivity, massive machine-to-machine communication, 5G voice, and metaverse. He said that the company will invest Rs 2 lakh crore for 5G service.

He told that the company will launch 5G in many major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata by Diwali. There will be 5G coverage across India by December 2023. The company has also partnered with Microsoft, Meta and Intel. A partnership has been announced with Qualcomm. Jio Director Kiran Thomas said – Reliance is going to open a Jio Experience Center in Mumbai, where people will get a chance to experience 5G before its launch.
