Smriti Irani took a jibe at Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s slogan, in which Priyanka had said, ‘I am a girl, I can fight’.

Union Minister Smriti Irani on Thursday targeted Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. In fact, Smriti Irani took a jibe at Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra’s slogan, in which Priyanka had said, ‘I am a girl, I can fight’.

Smriti took a jibe at Rahul Gandhi for this slogan of Priyanka and said, ‘There is a boy at home, but cannot fight.’ Irani mocked former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav during the Times Now Summit 2021.

Responding to the Congress’ slogan for the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, Irani said, “The election will be fought on the issue of development in UP and we hope that there will be a discussion on policy and development leadership to strengthen democracy.”

During this, when it was discussed that Congress would field women candidates for 40 percent seats in the UP assembly elections, Irani said that it is clear that there is a boy at home but cannot fight.

Referring to Rahul Gandhi, Irani said that do people have feelings towards that person? He also said that women leaders should not be expected to look after only the women members of the society.

When we talk about women leaders, why do we say that women leaders should work only for women, why don’t we say the same for men?

Irani said that when we give constitutional responsibility to someone, then it also becomes the responsibility to do as much work for men, children and elders as it does for women.

Irani also hit out at Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav saying that there are boys but cannot fight.

Apart from this, on the question of political leaders going to temples before the elections, Irani said that in my election rally in 2019, when Amit Shah came to campaign in Amethi, he had also visited a mosque. So why do we just talk about temples?
