pathetic condition of sri lanka

The international community is reluctant to help Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, the economic crisis has deepened. So now the Sri Lankan government is compromising on its honor and security.

The condition of Sri Lanka is now starting to look pathetic. He is seen as a country which no one is ready to help. The only exceptions in this case have been India and China. As the rest of the world has turned its back on it, the Sri Lankan government is now forced to take measures that it previously considered to be against the safety of its people and the country’s independent foreign policy. Consider these decisions: The Gotabaya Rajapaksa government recently removed the requirement of family background checks in cases of Sri Lankan women working abroad. Whereas this investigation was done so that women do not become victims of exploitation by going abroad. Then came the news that Sri Lanka had agreed to take help from the American organization Millennium Challenge Corporation, which it had earlier turned down. Then the Sri Lankan government had said that this offer of help is actually an attempt by the US to drag Sri Lanka into the Indo-Pacific. Now he has also decided to accept help from a Qatari institution.

Shortly before the Sri Lankan government had blocked the accounts of this institution. He was then accused of promoting Islamic terrorism in Sri Lanka. It is alleged that Jahran Hashim, the mastermind of the Easter bombings in 2019, got help from this Qatar-based organization. The name of this organization is Pearl of Unity. In fact, the Sri Lankan government has approached many countries of West Asia to get fuel assistance. But he did not get much success in this endeavor. Last week news came that Japan has now decided not to help him. Mizukoshi Hideyaki, the Japanese ambassador in Colombo, gave formal information to the Sri Lankan government about this. He said that given the current “mismanagement” in Sri Lanka, it has become risky to help him. So Japan will not give any help right now. Meanwhile, the economic crisis has deepened. So now the Sri Lankan government is compromising on its honor and security.
