Railway platform ticket prices increased by 3 times in the festive season
Ghaziabad. In order to decongest the platforms during Diwali and Chhath Puja, the railways has increased the platform ticket price from Rs 10 to Rs 30. Railways has increased the prices till October 30. Along with this, strictness is also being taken regarding the festival. Therefore, a special investigation campaign was launched by the RPF. The number of RPF personnel on the platform is also being increased from Saturday. Instead of six constables, 12 will be deployed on four platforms. Apart from this, monitoring is also being done on metal detectors outside the station.
More than 50 trains operate daily from Ghaziabad to Purvanchal, West Bengal and Bihar. With the arrival of the festival, the number of passengers increases up to 10 times. Therefore, 20 special trains are being operated through Ghaziabad. That is why to control the ever-increasing crowd on the platform, the price of platform ticket has been increased, platform ticket of 10 will now be available for 30. Along with this, a checking campaign will also be conducted by the Railways. If someone does not get a platform ticket, then a fine will also be imposed on him. (IANS)
