Products of ‘Self Help Group’ to be sold on ‘Amazon Saheli Portal’

In collaboration with the Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh, women of self-help groups formed under the State Rural Livelihood Mission are paving the way for their self-reliance by preparing and selling various types of products. Remarkable and excellent work is being done in the state by self-help groups in the direction of women empowerment, this is giving new wings to the concept of self-reliant India.
Innovative work is being done under the Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission under the able guidance of Deputy Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Keshav Prasad Maurya. Recently a joint venture with Flipkart and HCL Foundation has been launched with Rural Livelihood Mission to provide better marketing and marketing of their produced/manufactured material to the self clusters of 11 development blocks of Hardoi.
This joint venture program held in Directorate of Panchayati Raj was presided over by Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, in which he also assured all possible help to take this process forward. The results of the Deputy Chief Minister’s encouragement are shining brightly. As per information received from State Rural Livelihood Mission, 26 districts have been registered as sellers on Amazon Saheli portal under UPSRLM with more than 600 SHG products and 12 districts started receiving orders within two days of launch Which is really inspiring. The concerned officers of all the districts have been asked to register at least one CLF on Amazon Saheli before August 15 and through it, ensure to register all the products being made by the group in the district on Amazon Saheli.
Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Maurya has said that the intention of the government is to make women financially strong and with proper platform, women of self-help groups will move forward and get the right price for their products. If the products are prepared according to the needs of the society, then their sales will also be very good and Amazon is also associated with self-help groups as a marketing agent, its good results will shine. He said that the Rural Development Department would provide all kinds of cooperation in this work.
