We chose actor Rasik Dave as Vasudev because of his divine smile: Nitish Bhardwaj

Going down memory lane, the multi-faceted Nitish recalls, “Long ago in 1999, I directed and acted in the TV mythological-show ‘Gita Rahasya’, which was aired on Doordarshan. Apart from being a capable actor, Rasik always wore this positive, gentle smile (like my charismatic Krishna character). And that’s how I cast him as Vasudev (the real father of ‘Shri Krishna’). While Ketki was given the role of ‘Draupadi’ in the initial part. Rasik was so involved, committed, helpful and caring in our project that he even suggested me some good actors for different roles. We shared a warm bond the entire time,” recalls Bhardwaj, who was emotionally attached to the ‘late’ actor because of some of his qualities.

Meanwhile, wife Ketki clarified to the media saying, “Being a very private person, Rasik never wanted to talk about his illness. Hence, we never shared about his deteriorating health with anyone. He was a very private person and somehow believed that everything would happen. Well.”
