Apart from conducting various vocational courses to make the youth employable, the Army these days has started giving special training to the youth so that they can be recruited under the ‘Agniveer’ scheme launched by the Centre. . The objective of the training is to provide employment to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir as well as an opportunity to render their services for the defense of the country.
Indian Army is striving to provide necessary knowledge and training to the youth living in remote and border areas so that they can perform well in recruitment. Series of training programs are being organized in Mankot, Mendhar, Lorne, Mandi, Poonch, Reasi, Kishtwar etc. The training program is not only for boys but also for girls who want to get recruited under Agniveer Scheme. According to Jammu-based defense spokesperson Lt Col Devendra Anand, the Army conducted a training program for women NCC cadets at Mendhar in Poonch district, in which 200 The girls participated. They were given the necessary physical tests, 1600 meters running and other training required for recruitment.
Apart from this, an awareness lecture was also organized, in which the questions that can be asked in the written examination were told. It is worth noting that under the Agniveer Scheme, the recruitment rallies for the Jammu province are starting from October 7, in view of which the army is working day and night to prepare the youth.
