Lucknow : Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that we have succeeded in controlling encephalitis (Japanese Encephalitis) by about 75 percent and death figures by 95 percent in three years. Encephalitis, which had become a curse for eastern Uttar Pradesh, is today in the final stages of its complete eradication.

He appealed that communicable disease control should become a better platform to save the life of every citizen from all kinds of viral diseases and also to prevent epidemic like corona. We can combine this with widespread awareness.

Encephalitis completely controlled

He said these things during the launch of Communicable Diseases Fortnight in Basti district on Tuesday. Comparing the global epidemic corona and encephalitis, CM Yogi said that the death rate due to corona in the state has been 1.3 percent. Whereas this mortality rate in encephalitis was 20-25 percent, that is, if one thousand people would have unfortunately had corona, then at that time about 13 people have died.

But remember that if a thousand people were affected by encephalitis, then the death toll from it would have been about 260, this was when encephalitis was seen in eastern Uttar Pradesh. There is a huge difference between 13 and 260. We have been successful in controlling that encephalitis completely. But we have to be careful.

During this, BJP State President Swatantra Dev Singh, Health and Medical Minister Jai Pratap Singh, Minister of State for Horticulture Shri Ram Chauhan, District Panchayat President Sanjay Chaudhary, MLA Dayaram Chaudhary, Sanjay Prasad Jaiswal, Chandra Prakash Shukla, Ajay Singh, Ravi Sonkar, Chairman Municipality Council Rupam Mishra, BJP District President Mahesh Shukla etc. were present.

India is the first country in the world

He said that Corona was the biggest epidemic of the century. The work that has been done in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to protect against this epidemic, today is the result that for the first time India itself has not one, but two- Developed two vaccines. By tomorrow, 100 crore people across the country would have been given the vaccine dose. India is the first country in the world to give this dose to 100 crore people.

It is very important for us to save the life of every citizen.

He said that Corona management is our best. We have also succeeded in giving vaccine doses to the maximum number of people in the country. Vaccine doses have been given to more than 12 crore people in the state. In a week, we would have delivered the vaccine dose to 130 crore people.

We also have corona vaccine. We are capable of giving vaccine to 35 to 40 lakh people in a day. This is our preparation. We believe that it is very important for us to save the life of every citizen even in the face of adversity.

sad death due to corona

He said that the corona pandemic has changed a lot in the country and the world. On one hand many people have lost their loved ones. We have sympathy for all of them. The government has decided that the deaths due to corona are sad. The government has full condolences towards them.

The process of giving 50 thousand rupees as compensation to those families has been started. Along with this, arrangements have also been made so that we can save people from this type of epidemic in the coming time. It becomes the responsibility of all of us, because if there is a loss somewhere in the society, then the physical damage is of a family.

The campaign against the epidemic was started three years ago

He said that after successfully controlling the global pandemic corona, the third communicable disease control campaign is starting this year. About four and a half years ago today, an epidemic in eastern Uttar Pradesh had swallowed the innocent for nearly four decades. We started this campaign against that epidemic.

What is the importance of inter-departmental coordination and mass dialogue at that time, we realized this strength in the last four years. Although in the first phase, the seven districts of Basti and Gorakhpur were the centers of this program and this experiment. But gradually we started this campaign in all the places where patients associated with meningitis were seen and there was widespread death. started widely.
