According to the bulletin, 1,702 of the new cases have come from Mumbai alone and the only death recorded in the state has also been in the metropolis. The department said that after 2,831 cases on February 15, Maharashtra recorded the highest number of infected in a single day on Thursday. According to government data, with this, 79,01,628 cases of corona virus infection have been reported in the state so far and 1,47,867 deaths have been registered. Significantly, on Wednesday, 2,701 new cases of infection with corona virus were reported in Maharashtra.
