Pakistan: Famous TV host and MP Amir Liaquat Hussain is no more, found dead in his house

Aamir was in discussion about three marriages and divorce

Pakistan’s famous TV host and parliamentarian Amir Liaquat Hussain has died at the age of 49. Aamir Liaquat Hussain was found dead at his home in Karachi today. Liaquat was taken to Aga Khan University Hospital where he was declared brought dead, a police official said. He said that no discrepancy was found in the preliminary report.

Amir Liaquat Hussain’s postmortem will be done at Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Center. Meanwhile, National Assembly Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf adjourned the session till 5 pm on Friday following news of the death of MNA Amir Liaquat Hussain.

Liaquat joined PTI in March 2018 and was elected MP from Karachi in the general elections held later that year. However, he later left the party. He was earlier a prominent leader of the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) and in August 2016 broke away from the party and said that he would quit politics. Liaquat was working in the media industry for many years.

He was born on 5 July 1972. They also have two children. Aamir Liaquat had three marriages. He did his second marriage to Tauba Anwar in 2018. The latter divorced her. After this he married Daniya Shah in the year 2022. Daniya Shah was 31 years younger than him. However, after a few days of marriage, Dania filed for divorce.
